The interim CIO role will suit an experienced IT director who is able to deep-dive and get into the detail of what there is as well as identify the gaps to build an IT function fit for purpose today and for future plans.

This will require a hands-on approach, experience of delivering change in a sensitive manner, good man-management skills and an ability to work as part of the senior management team.

Experience of working within a general insurance/ retail financial services space is essential as is the ability to demonstrate the breadth of skill and vision for this small but essential IT team.

Description:

Working with the COO / CEO the interim CIO will takes responsibility for a direct report team of four (100 in team) and will conduct a root and branch review of the IT function and the services it is delivering to the business with recommendations for improvement.

This will include a review of the target operating model, platforms/networks, business continuity and scalability and capability of the IT function in line with 3 and 5 year business plan which will include growth by acquisition as well as organic.

The successful interim will be a six sigma black belt with extensive experience of business process re-engineering within the UK telecoms market.  A pragmatic approach is most relevant as is experience within organisations resistant to change.  Immediate availability is essential.

Due to a series of acquisitions and impending business transformation programmes a business process expert is required to map and record processes.  There is currently much duplication, fragmentation and poorly designed roles and responsibilities hence a process exercise is essential to understand the existing situation and to design the future business.

The successful interim Divisional Finance Director must be an experienced Interim Manager with a demonstrable track record of working within Engineering, Construction or Hard FM contract-driven environments in order that an immediate understanding of the issues can be drawn.

Description:

Reporting jointly to the Group Finance Director and Divisional MD, the interim Divisional Finance Director will take responsibility of the accounts production for the Engineering Services division of this Support Services group.

The primary task of the interim Divisional Finance Director will be to review contract costs and ensure they have been properly accrued for over the life of the project. At present monthly costs are being allowed to fluctuate so greater clarity on which jobs are profitable is badly needed.

• Provide, develop and manage a bespoke financial and analytical service to enable the operational management to understand the financial implication of their actions.
