Steve specialises in placing multidisciplinary interim managers into the NHS, but also independent and private healthcare providers and care home businesses. Steve's main areas of focus are in NHS cost reduction, service transformation activity and he typically places Turnaround and Transformation leads, Programme and Project Managers, and operational, finance and HR interims with organsiation wide or service specific remits.

Steve had achieved significant growth in fee income despite fragile market conditions. Steve focuses strongly on candidate network development and he is optimistic that the need to provide better services more efficiently in the NHS will continue to drive transformation change and create continued demand for experienced interim managers.

Prior to Interim Partners, Steve has worked in recruitment for over 10 years, recruiting professionals from various disciplines into a predominantly public sector client base. Steve graduated from Oxford University in 2000 with BA Honours in Geography and after a brief stint in accountancy with a top 10 firm, he joined leading professional recruitment consultancy, Badenoch & Clark. He became their top performing pubic sector accountancy and finance consultant, before setting up a regeneration offering, leading a team of three consultants supplying interim and permanent regeneration professionals into local authorities, PCTs and regeneration vehicles. Steve was then responsible for launching the public sector offering at Frazer Jones, a well regarded HR recruitment specialist.

Steve is married with a two children, a boy and a girl. He is a keen runner, and enters 10k races and half marathons on a regular basis to keep fit. He has yet to muster the courage to attempt a full marathon.
