During 2011 Brightpool noticed certain trends which are likely to continue in 2012. Says Hickmore:
“For Financial Services contractors earning between £250 and £500 per day or permanent staff
earning up to £100k per year, the market in 2011 saw some distinct trends. A high proportion of our
roles were focused on Risk (39%) but this encompassed a wide selection of skill-sets such as
operational risk, credit risk and regulatory risk. Core finance was also a high priority (34%) although
these roles were often linked to projects based on cost reduction or efficiency improvements. A
number of our clients are involved in significant change programmes at the moment and this will
continue into 2012. I expect a busy first quarter where key areas of recruitment will be in regulation,
finance, risk, and compliance.”
