2011 is already shaping up to be a very interesting year. The interim management market is recovering and our fee income has seen a considerable rise. We have strengthened our team by appointing two new directors and in August we will be moving our London office to 6 New Street Square to accommodate extra staff and our ambitious plans for growth.

We are pleased to see the IM market place is well into recovery. Growth in our fee income is a good indicator but further evidenced by the broader view of the Institue of Interim Management (IIM) who will be releasing the results of their comprehensive market survey next week.

We have seen a 44% like for like increase in fee income gained from the placement of Interim Managers on day rates from January to June 2011 when compared with 2010. This is an outstanding achievement for our team when we consider the market remains challenging and competitive. As a consequence we believe we are out performing all of those that are operating in our market place. We are continuing to invest heavily in our Brightpool business which provides middle management interims and specialist contractors. Brightpool is proving to be a valuable resource to our clients as we now have the unique ability to provide senior interim executives and the contract delivery teams to support them.

The combination is proving successful. Interim Partners can provide a bespoke, knowledgeable service with deep sector expertise and then Brightpool has a broad capability to deliver teams of middle managers in support. Scale and volume allow Brightpool to work at a more competitive margin, directly competing with mid-market recruitment firms.

In addition, our online performance reporting tool – Connect, which measures and tracks the performance of our interim managers and contractors, is having a real impact with many of our clients excited by our unique innovation.
