Robert Smith

Rob joined Interim Partners in 2015 to specialise in the Built Environment sector.

Robert has over 13 years of recruitment experience, eight of which – with a specialist technical recruiter and five – with a leading global recruiter. This has been exclusively servicing the Built Environment where he has been growing and leading teams, specialising in the development, consulting engineering, construction, residential, utilities and infrastructure schemes.

Robert’s expertise lies in developing strong candidate and client relationships through his consultative, straight talking approach. With a network of experienced Managing Directors, Commercial Directors, Operations Directors, HR Directors, Procurement Directors, Finance Directors and Turnaround Specialists and a genuine passion for the sector, he is well placed to offer a full suite of interim management solutions at board level across the Built Environment.

Having witnessed the changing London skyline, the emergence of managed motorways, the BSF and PFI booms along with the struggles to provide sufficient housing solutions, amongst other changes, Robert is eager to be part of the next wave of change in a sector set for further growth.

Robert followed his passion for sport by studying Sports Science in Leeds, however decided to pursue a career in business, leaving sport as a hobby. Now he’s a committed junior football coach, occasional cyclist and even more occasional golfer. Any more sports commitments, and Rob would struggle to find the time for his wife and two children.
