Interim Financial Controller
My Client, a Housing Association in London is looking for a highly experienced Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Head of Finance the post-holder will be responsible for team management, systems and controls to ensure that the service provides an efficient and effective financial service.
What is most important is that the individual is a great leader of people, and has a natural flair to coach and nurture rising talent. Experience of operating as an Financial Controller in a similarly regulated environment to housing would also be advantageous. You will be a qualified accountant; an audit background is preferred or at least a demonstrable knowledge and experience in controls.
This post is newly created, and you will be charged with leading a team of 7 people, including Payroll, Other duties include:
- Team management
- Month and year end
- Managing processing teams (purchase ledger, rents, sales)
- Systems and process improvement;
- Systems controls
- Systems implementation
