    Role overview:

    A fantastic opportunity to lead on the transformation of the organisations people development culture, facilitating high performing individuals, teams, managers and leaders to support organisational performance and in turn business growth and employee engagement.

    Together with cultural change this role will develop, implement and evaluate an effective learning and OD strategy and offer that meet legislative requirements and directly underpins the achievement of business objectives, whilst driving employee engagement.

    It will ensure a consistent and high-quality learning and OD service to all areas of the business in line with strategic goals, which recognises the diverse nature of business and employees.

    It will own and develop the talent agenda for the organisation across all people related functions to ensure robust talent analysis to support the current and future strategic goals.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Implement, review and measure all strands of the new OD strategy to ensure they drive improvement in individual effectiveness and business performance.
    • Develop management and leadership development initiatives using evidence based research.
    • Influence, advise and educate the Executive Group, Operational Leadership team and the Leadership Forum on all aspects of learning and OD and the impact it has on the organisation and individual staff in terms of behaviour and performance.
    • Lead the talent agenda for the Group including organisation wide Talent Review Meetings up to executive level, succession and development planning.
    • Lead on the further development of coaching and mentoring frameworks.
    • Manage key supplier relationships ensuring that external provision of learning and people development interventions are consistently value for money and high quality, delivering all agreed learning outcomes.
    • Manage the organisational development budgets ensuring value for money and organisational impact assessments are in place.
    • Manage and further develop a robust learning and people development evaluation framework that uses organisational impact assessments, which are clearly defined at the start of all learning and people development interventions.
    • Lead and manage a specialist team of OD and learning practitioners in the development and delivery of aligned interventions.
    • Work proactively with all People and Organisational Development colleagues on diagnosing evidence based solutions for developing talent and improving staff performance.

    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

    • Designing organisational development strategy;
    • Implementing values and behaviours;
    • Leadership management programmes;
    • Organisational development programme;
    • A learning mentality aligned to the 70, 20, 10 principle with knowledge of, or accreditation in, the use of psychometrics or other appropriate tools and methods (e.g. Insights Discovery);
    • Worked for a housing association (or similar environment).
