    Our client, an EASA Part 21J approved design organisation, specialises in design, certification of changes and repairs to cabin interiors and integration of associated components on civil aircraft. They are currently seeking an Interim Head of Design Organisation, to lead the design function and provide technical direction and guidance with respect to regulatory and legal requirements.

    The Interim Head of Design Organisation will:

    • Directly report to Managing Director for all aspects of the function of Design Organisation.

    • Head-up the Design Organisation and have responsibility for all design activities.

    • Ensure that the Organisation can fully determine the extent and impact of the continued airworthiness for its design products.

    • Appoint all design personnel with appropriate skills and experience for activities of Design Organisation.

    • Ensure that the Procedures specified in the Handbook are treated as an integral part of the Design Organisation processes

    The ideal candidate will hold the following attributes:

    • Degree Qualified in a relevant Engineering Field (experience will also be considered)

    • Demonstrate deep understanding of certification process of changes and repairs to large aeroplanes and product development cycle under EASA rules.

    • Not less than 10 years' experience relevant to the position.

    • Previous employment in the position.

    • Previous acceptance by an Airworthiness Authority.

    • Ability to work in multinational team and to adapt to the working environment with cultural differences.

    • Have excellent English language skills, both reading and writing.
