    Interim Financial Controller - Challenger Bank

    My client is a challenger banking organisation.

    They require an Interim Financial Controller (consultant) to do some heavy lifting and support their current finance team - responsibilities will include:

    1) Preparation and closing of month end accounts

    2) Completion of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors

    3) Support the finance team on the preparation of regulatory returns, IFRS 9 and any arising technical issues

    4) Ensure robust documentation in place for core tasks

    5) Support the finance team, sharing knowledge and training staff where appropriate.

    The successful Interim professional will be a seasoned Financial Controller who is technically strong, yet has a strategic nous and is known for their ability to lead, develop and mentor a team. You must have worked in both a blue-chip retail banking and challenger banking environments. You must have extensive experience of the accounting of mortgages and savings products. You will be known for your hands on approach and attention for details.

    The assignment is based in London for an initial period of 6 months. A rate of up to £800 per day will be paid depending upon experience.
