    Interim Company Secretary

    Our client, a medium-sized housing association based in the South East, is looking to identify an interim Company Secretary.

    The successful interim will work closely with the Chairman and Chief Executive to ensure effective corporate governance. This includes providing an expert advisory and support service on all matters of Board, Committee and company administration. You will also provide appropriate advice and support on all legal and governance matters. In addition to this, you will advise on policies and procedures to ensure effective compliance and oversee risk management arrangements.

    The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working within a regulated environment (housing sector experience desirable), working with boards and committees, and a strong track record of successfully dealing with a variety of stakeholders. As Data Protection Officer you will have responsibility for maintaining the Data Protection Policy, data protection management and provide advice and guidance on its implementation.

    Required qualifications & skills:

    · ICSA qualified (or equivalent)

    · Have knowledge of housing, charitable and related legislation

    · Understanding of the requirements of the Housing Regulator, Companies House, FCA and GDPR

    · Excellent minute taking, record keeping and organisational skills.

    · Excellent skills in policy formulation, presentation and communication with the ability to write logically and concisely
