    Interim CEO

    My client, based in the midlands, a not for profit sports body, is looking for an interim CEO for a 6 month period. They need an immediate start. This role is based in the Midlands. Please only apply if you think it likely that you are within an hour's commute of their base. Ideally placed candidates will live around Leamington Spa, Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, etc.

    This role would take the sports body up to a high profile event in summer 2020, from which point the yet-to-be-appointed permanent CEO would be in role. This person therefore needs to be an absolute rock for the whole team; able to steady the ship, and able to bring the leadership they require for this critical period.

    Ideally the interim will have held a CEO or Commercial Director role within a sports body (for example, the FA, the Premier League, skiing, athletics, cricket, rugby), but they will also consider individuals with experience in other culture-focused government bodies or organisations. Experience of managing public funding is vital.

    Whilst this is not a Performance role, and there is someone managing this team, the interim will be responsible ultimately for the Performance team as well as the Commercial team.

    Needless to say, commercial experience is critical. A large part of this body's work centres on sponsorship, events, business development, ticketing, etc.
