Interim Programme Manager (capital orogrammes)
This major housing association in the south-east is looking for an experienced programme Manager to lead a team of portfolio and project managers to successfully deliver the capital works programme for 2021, worth in the region of £40 million. They will also be tasked with the important role of gearing up the function to significantly increase capacity to up to three times their current level of programme delivery. This will involve creating staffing structures and informing procurement processes.
As part of the role they will:
Design and deliver housing capital works programmes which deliver the organisation's ambitions, focusing on the delivery of improved social housing, environmental improvements, jobs and socio-economic development
Oversee the stream of works to ensure that they are being carried out effectively and efficiently and ensuring staff team are actively engaged in all aspects of the programme
Support the Head of Service on project and programme management activities related to any of the projects and deal with escalated issues appropriately
Build, establish and develop key strategic partnerships at a senior level both internally and externally; including programme boards, residents and consultants
It essential that the candidate can demonstrate recent hands-on experience of leading housing capital works programmes at a value of at least £30 million. It is expected they will have a technical background
