    Our client, a Government Agency, is currently looking to identify an experienced interim Commercial Director to help the UK achieve inward investment and achieve it's ambition to be a world-leading trading nation.

    Reporting to the Commercial Lead, the successful candidate will have responsibility for identifying opportunities for the UK to create maritime jobs and increase maritime GVA, together with identifying and acting upon barriers to entry to UK and influencing policy leads across Government.

    We are looking for a highly accomplished leader with strong EQ, great people skills and high integrity.

    You MUST have strong knowledge and understanding of shipping and the maritime sector and be a credible commercial thinker with excellent report-writing skills.

    You will be an excellent networker with great connections across the maritime industry.

    This is a \"start up\" environment so you will need to be hands-on, independent, with a flexible style and willing to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself. Ideally you will be experienced in the transformational growth or a business or organisation.
