20 June 2018 - Innovation & Revolution in Medicine

Interim Partners Healthcare Practice is hosting a breakfast seminar on 20th June 2018.

Chris Gibson MBE will discuss the digital revolution in medicine, drawing on his experience within military medicine. Chris will speak about:

  • the contemporary revolution in military medicine
  • why Defence medicine has become an exemplar of early innovation adoption and has created the conditions for translating innovation to the wider healthcare sector
  • how 'adoption' and 'translation' fit into an integrated model of innovation and how this can benefit wider healthcare provision

If you're a Private Care professional, this session will enable you to understand how “hands on” experience in the field can be replicated into new ways of working within the health landscape, supported by newly specially designed technology.

About the speaker

Chris Gibson has over 30 years' military experience. He has held senior leadership roles throughout his career which have seen him serve on specialist military operations all over the world. Having graduated from NHS Staff College, he has taken his inventive enthusiasm for adapting military leadership and wisdom for the wider benefit of enterprises such as the NHS. Having gained a post graduate award in Medical Simulation Management from Harvard University, Chris was appointed as The Chief Instructor of The Army Medical Services Training Centre, the world’s largest medical simulation centre.
