Work givers and contractors alike are counting down the months until April 2020, when the reviewed IR35 off-payroll legislation is set to hit the private sector. The government has recently announced that it will be engaging with stakeholders to discuss the proposed changes to look at any amendments, and in order to make sure the changes are implemented smoothly.
There are potentially serious consequences to the implementation of the reviewed legislation, which means there needs to be a smarter way to navigate IR35. Unless your business is prepared, it faces the risk of workforce disruption, skills shortages, back taxes, financial penalties and reputational damage. If you work as a contractor via a limited company, you are risking a loss of take-home earnings – and potential future penalties. There will be advantages too. In either case you’ll need to work smartly to be compliant and use the legislation to your advantage.
The Institute of Interim Management, in collaboration with Interim Partners, invites you to join us as we explore what the possible amendments might look like, what the opportunities are, what companies and contractors need to do in order to mitigate any fallout and how to best structure agile workforces post April 2020.
