Having heard her speech at the House of Lords, Denise Raw - Principal of Healthcare at Interim Partners, interviewed Mary Daly, a social scientist and a Professor of Sociology & Social Policy, on the state of community care in the UK.
Mary is a social scientist, working mainly in social policy analysis. She is a Professor of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Oxford, based in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention. Over the course of her career - which has seen her work in research organisations and universities in Ireland, Italy, Germany and the UK - she has focused my research on a range of topics - social care and poverty, gender and family issues.
She speaks to Denise about her research into the Elderly and Specialist Care, what to expect from the sector in the future and the main challenges it faces today.
As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to comment below.
Denise Raw is the Principal of Public Sector.
