Sophie Younger joins Education practice

Having recently joined Interim Partners during a time of expansion into new markets, I am now leading the Education practice through a period of key growth.

The Education sector is going through significant change and certain skill sets are required to navigate organisations through this process.

If I look at the Higher Education sector as one of the example of my market focus, the demand for new technology within universities continues to challenge the back office functions. Upgrading of technologies tops the list of priorities for many institutions, however funding can be a challenge. Student numbers are decreasing, funding for research programmes tends to be awarded to the more established universities and, with pending Brexit, European funding streams are likely to reduce significantly.

In order to attract and retain the best talent and to boost their positioning in an increasingly competitive market, organisations are urged to engage more commercially focused staff into professional services, thereby aligning both academic and business services.
