Half a year with Spear
Our partnership with Spear Bethnal Green Centre kicked off earlier this year and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
Spear helps young Londoners kick-start their career through a five-week training course that covers a range of useful tips, such as public speaking, CV writing and office culture.
We have had opportunities to get to know many trainees during their visits to our London office. The whole office has got involved on Company Visit days - showing trainees what their job involves, offering advice and holding mock interviews.
Hannah Caddick, the Spear Centre Manager, comments:
“It has been fantastic partnering with Interim Partners this year – their enthusiasm and belief in the young people we are working with has had a great impact.
We have seen our young people grow in confidence and ability when taking part in work experience at Interim Partners. Company Visits have been engaging and a great deal of knowledge has been passed on.
Our staff have also received training from Interim Partners, which has helped us identify what more we can be doing to help our trainees get into work.”
We’ve also had a few students join us for work experience.
Majeda, our most recent work experience student, did a great job assisting our Operations department.
"My experience with Interim Partners and Spear has been great. I have gained a lot of knowledge, experience and skills in order to help me progress onto the next stage. I am now looking to build a career in either Admin, Customer Service or as a Teaching Assistant."
Previously this year, two more Spear Students - Bobby and Osase - have worked closely with Marketing & Operations to provide support on a variety of projects.
Bobby has this to say:
“My time at Interim Partners gave me an eye-opening experience into the world of recruitment, delivering new challenges for me to take on and expand my skills as well as interest to get into recruitment.
Because of Spear Group, I was able to grasp this opportunity with Interim Partners who also helped me build my confidence, professional etiquette and interpersonal skills to develop my career to the best of my ability.”
Bobby is currently interviewing for roles within recruitment and we wish him well with his future career.
