New Street Group wins gold!
New Street Group (Interim Partners, BrightPool, New Street) has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People Gold Award, a title which acknowledges the company as 'an organisation that reflects the very best in people management excellence.'
The assessment process included an online questionnaire administered to all employees, individual interviews with 15 staff members and on-site observations.
Having defended its title as an Investor in People since 2007, New Street Group has worked hard to consistently improve the organisation and build on key strengths that support our ambition of growing the business threefold in three years whilst also being placed in the top 25 ‘Great Places to Work’.
In his review the assessor found that the company values, defined in 2013, had been‘embedded in the organisation’ with 97% of employees agreeing that they ‘share the same values as the organisation’ and that the ‘organisation’s values guide the way we operate.’
One of the five core values, being ‘collaborative’, was identified through people coming together to help each other win new business, form large team projects and share knowledge and expertise in specific sectors. In the online questionnaire, 97% of our employees agreed that ‘our roles are structured to enable us to work well together.’
HR Director, Debbie Norman, said‘we are delighted to have received the gold accreditation from Investors in People. This was a team effort and is well deserved by everyone.’
The team spirit was identified as a strength alongside the company’s effective approach to recognition, with 100% of staff agreeing ‘I feel appreciated for the work I do.’
The assessor found that New Street Group has ‘embraced the principles of organisational and leadership development in order to strive for and deliver high performance.’
Doug Baird, CEO of New Street Group, emphasised the importance of the Investors in People reports which have provided ‘essential feedback and informed our choices as to how we can improve CSR, retention and reward strategies and these suggested changes have become central to our strategy.’ He also expressed his delight in receiving the award as:‘it was the culmination of two years of work, building upon what we learnt from the Silver Standard. A big thank you to all my colleagues who have helped us gain Gold!’
