Interim IT Director, Avril Chester, nominated for Digital Leader of the Year 2018

Avril Chester is a finalist for Digital Leader of the Year at the upcoming Women in IT Awards - the largest diversity tech event in the world.

Avril Chester

Avril was engaged, via Interim Partners, to help Scope transform their IT systems and stay competitive in the digital era.

Mark Atkinson, Chief Executive of Scope - who put her forward for the award - said:

"Avril successfully led Scope through the largest IT Transformation of its 60-year history. In just 12 months, she reduced our operational IT spend by 40% and our IT footprint by 50%, whist migrating 3,000 users to Office 365 and moving all our on-premise IT to the Cloud. The benefits of the work Avril undertook are already being felt right across the business - and will continue to be for years to come!"

Using Interim Partners' Return on Interim methodology, Avril was able to show her progress throughout the assignment and report on the value she delivered.

Ben Johnson, Director, Financial & Professional Services at Interim Partners commented:

"It's quite rare for an Interim Manager's achievements to be recognised in a public forum, and we like to shout about it when they are. It was a privilege to work with Avril, and I look forward to working with her again."

The winner will be announced at London's glitzy Grosvenor House on 31st January 2018. We wish Avril luck!

We will also be following Avril with interest in her new venture @CancerCentralUK on InstagramTwitter and Facebook.
