The successful Interim Manager will have a proven track record of working across continental Europe and will be able to demonstrate where they have driven changes with unions utilising their language skills. Fluency in German or Dutch would be advantageous to the successful candidate as will be time spent within a large industrial client operating in the Power industry from either a manufacturing or a maintenance perspective . The lion share of the responsibilities of the assignment are operational facing and this should reflect the background of the applicants. There is a strong possibility of some M&A; activity but this isn’t central to the day to day success of the assignment but M&A; experience would be useful.

Based across multiple locations in Continental Europe our client is looking to make changes to the group structure to enable them to drive a large scale change programme across a collection of its businesses. Essential elements of the role will include a group wide review on operational performance with a programme created to drive the changes throughout the business. The result of this performance review will determine the path of the assignment where multiple options are available including selling non-core assets and investing the proceeds internally.

Our client has an immediate requirement for an interim Chief Officer to support the designate Clinical Chief Officer before they take up the full post in the early part of 13/14. The ideal candidate will hold and HNC in Engineering as a minimum and possess a detailed understanding of engineering issues and improvement processes. You will also have a genuine mix of Site Services/FM experience within a Refrigeration/Freeze Dryer environment

Reporting to the Production Engineering Director, you will be responsible for the following: Responsible for the Site Utilities and Facilities Management e.g. compliance with HV, LOLER, Pressure Regs, Water Treatment, L8, Legionella, Fire Regs, Building Regs, EMS. Manage the utility and facility supervisors in relation to performance management e.g. absence management, work completion, documentation and health and safety compliance. Manage planned maintenance on, facilities, production and utility plant and machinery in line with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Manage facility and utility projects through the departmental resource. Oversee diagnosing causes of plant equipment breakdowns and implementing effective repairs. Focussing on a “First Time Fix” methodology. Manage root cause analysis of plant downtime as required, embedding a robust improvement philosophy within utility and facility engineering team. Manage the staff to ensure regulatory checks are carried out on the equipment to established methods and quality standards. Oversee the engineering computer system to ensure all work is recorded to facilitate accurate machine history and effectively planned routine maintenance records. Accurately complete all relevant operational documentation to a high standard as required. Ensure all work complies with SOP’s, Site Health & Safety standards, Change Control Procedures.

The interim manager must have a technical telecom background with a strong understanding of management accounting (possibly a management accountant with a very strong technical appreciation). In-depth understanding of mobile data / broadband value chain from within a mobile operator or telco consulting firm involved in network planning. Experienced at building bottom-up mobile telecom cost models and an expert in building complex spreadsheet models that have informed decisions to improve profitability. Project management experience is a must as well as managing inputs from diverse virtual teams (finance, commercial, marketing, technical). Emerging markets experience (MENA and Asia) is a strong preference.

Our client is developing and launching a group-wide broadband proposition across North Africa, Middle East and South East Asia. There are several streams of work underway supporting this goal and there is an urgent need for an interim manager within one these strategic priorities – that being to grow profitable data / broadband revenues. The interim will work closely with a cross-functional team from both the Group and operating company to model the profitability of growing revenues in specific market segments. The output will help refine both network and investment plans and marketing focus. The model will focus on a specific Opco but must also form part of a transferable toolkit enabling the insight and learning to be replicated quickly across the Group
