Steve Melber

Steve has worked in recruitment for nearly 10 years, recruiting professionals from various disciplines into a predominantly Public Sector client base. His extensive experience of the sector has enabled Steve to develop an in-depth understanding of the nuances of Public Sector recruitment, and the importance of supplier adherence to frameworks and procurement protocols. Steve graduated from Oxford University in 2000 with BA Honours in Geography and after a brief stint in accountancy with a top 10 firm, he joined Badenoch & Clark where he became their top performing Public Sector accountancy and finance consultant. He went on to set up a regeneration offering, leading a team of three consultants supplying interim and permanent regeneration professionals into local authorities, PCT's and regeneration vehicles.

Steve was then responsible for launching the Public Sector offering at Frazer Jones, a well regarded HR recruitment specialist, before joining Interim Partners in April 2010. He leads the Healthcare practice in the north, where the need to provide better services more efficiently continues to drive transformational change and should create demand for experienced interim managers.

Steve is married with a two children, a boy and a girl. He is a keen runner, and enters 10k races and half marathons on a regular basis to keep fit. He has yet to muster the courage to attempt a full marathon.
