Interim Partners ranked in Fast Track 100 again

Interim Partners, the leading provider of interim management solutions, has been ranked in the Top 30 of the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK by the Sunday Times for the second year running.

  • Turnover up 111% a year
  • Fastest growing interim management recruitment business in the UK
  • Only recruitment business ranked in top 30 two years running.

Interim Partners has maintained its position as the fastest growing interim management recruitment business in the UK and is the only recruitment business to be ranked in the Top 30 for the second year running.

Interim Partners was ranked 26th in the prestigious Sunday Times Fast Track 100. The annual league table, sponsored by Virgin, ranks the UK’s 100 fastest growing private companies on sales value during a three year period.

Interim Partners has grown by 111% a year, increasing its turnover from L1m in 2005 to L9.4 million in 2008. The company managed to achieve double digit growth in fee income in 2009, despite most recruitment and interim management businesses having seen their turnover fall.

Founded by Doug Baird in 2003, the company now employs 19 executives in offices in the West End of London and Harrogate in Yorkshire. It places interim executives both in the UK and internationally.

Doug Baird, Managing Director, of Interim Partners, comments: “To be recognised by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies is a fantastic achievement, but to be listed in the Top 30 in two consecutive years, is an extremely rare feat, for which all our team can feel immensely proud.”

“The bigger a company gets the harder it becomes to maintain the same fast rate of turnover growth. After being listed in the Fast Track 100 most companies disappear out of the league table straight away.”

He adds: “2009 has been a very tough year for interim management recruitment businesses. We have managed to grow fee income by double digits while most competitors have lost significant market share. We think we have managed that by focusing on providing both our clients and candidates with an ever higher level of service.”

Interim Partners is optimistic about demand for interim executives going into 2010 and expects companies to continue to require managers with restructuring, turnaround and change management skills.

Doug Baird says: “We have a well resourced pool of candidates who have the right skills and experience to help guide companies through the recession and into growth. I anticipate strong demand for these skills in 2010.”
