A short well presented video can communicate much more than a printed document or email, making it much more efficient for someone to click on a video than read a page of text, thus relieving pressures on turnaround time.
InterimPartners do not believe that this technology will replace the CV however it can be used as a tool to support the interview process. They are able to communicate an interim manager's opinion far more effectively through the use of online video which provides a greater sense of personal interaction between clients and candidates.
Application
When short listing candidates for assignments in mainland Europe or further afield, this service allows InterimPartners to speed up the whole process by recording and streaming interviews with their clients chosen candidates.
In practice InterimPartners ask their clients to choose three important aspects of the assignment. The interim manager is then tasked with discussing these issues allowing them to demonstrate their understanding and to suggest what their approach to solving them may be. These responses are filmed within InterimPartners offices although interim managers can also film themselves at home using a webcam and upload the file via the InterimPartners website.
The results are then streamed to their client who can then view them at their leisure.

Case Study
InterimPartners have a client in Dubai who was keen to telephone interview a number of candidates prior to flying over his shortlisted candidates. However, with video streaming, InterimPartners was able to film their candidates answering pre-prepared questions set by the client. This enabled the client to view and choose one appropriate candidate. The opportunity to "road test" the technology saved time, provided a greater sense of who the candidates were, their skills set and potential approach to the assignment. It also avoided unnecessary travel costs.
